D.I.Y EASTER BASKET

I have been home for the past couple weeks. They dismissed my school and I'm bored at home, I have so much free time. So, I decided to use my “Quarantine Creativity”. I needed a storage box for my room but I really did not want to go to the store and spend the money on it; so I started to make one out of cardboard. While I was in the process of making my storage box I realized it was boring and too simple. Then I got the idea of making it into an Easter basket and storage box. I made one easter basket and 3 days later I had a total of 5 made. I really enjoyed making them so I want to share a few steps and tips on how to make your own - just in time for Easter! I'm not going to put all of the steps because I want you to use your creativity and make it your own way. This is my first D.I.Y and I'm planning on doing more in the future.

STEP 1: FINDING THE RIGHT BOX

Look around your house. Do you find a cardboard box you can make something creative out of? I got a box from my dad's work and I cut the top piece of the box.

STEP 2: MAKING IT LOOK CREATIVEI found these little ropes I had at home and I'm going to wrap it around the box. I used hot glue to glue it onto the box. If you don't have any rope you can cut out like grass and paint it green, you can cut out a rab…

STEP 3: MAKING IT LOOK MORE CREATIVEI knew that only the rope on the side was too plain. I needed something else to make it look a bit more nice. This also may be the case with you, so start to brainstorm, “what else can i do to the box?” I decided …

STEP 3: MAKING IT LOOK MORE CREATIVE

I knew that only the rope on the side was too plain. I needed something else to make it look a bit more nice. This also may be the case with you, so start to brainstorm, “what else can i do to the box?” I decided to add some cardboard on the corners to hide the ugly cuts of the rope.

STEP 4: GETTING MORE CREATIVE WITH ITI still knew I could do something else to the design of my box. I found this “Happy Easter” thing at my house that you hang on a wall. So I decided to take it off the wall while my mom wasn't looking. I traced it…

STEP 4: GETTING MORE CREATIVE WITH IT

I still knew I could do something else to the design of my box. I found this “Happy Easter” thing at my house that you hang on a wall. So I decided to take it off the wall while my mom wasn't looking. I traced it and now had a stencil.
